Uzun bir süredir beklediğim The Dictator filmini sonunda izleyebildim! Cinepink Sinemaları’nda izlediğim için de çok mutluyum, salonda kendinizi çok rahat hissediyorsunuz ve filme odaklanmanız daha kolay oluyor. Henüz yeni olmasına rağmen, ben burayı favori mekanım haline getirdim.
Wadiya Ülkesi’nin diktatörü Aladeen’in ülkesine demokrasiyi getirmemek istiyordur. Ne var ki, Amerika’ya konuşma yapmak için geldiği sırada kaçırılır. Üstelik görkemli sakalı da kesilir. Onun Amerika macerası da burada başlar. O ki, Supreme Leader (Büyük Lider) kimse tarafından tanınmıyordur. Kendine yeni bir sakal bulup, ülkesine demokrasinin gelmesine engel olmalıdır. Bu macerada ona dostu –bir zamanlar idam edilmesini istediği- Nadal ve burada tanıştığı aktivist Zoey eşlik edecektir.

Borat ve Bruno gibi filmlerden tanıdığımız dahi “çocuk” Sacha Baron Cohen’i bu sene Hugo filminde de izlemiştik. Ayrıca Madagascar filmlerinde Kral Julien’i seslendiren Cohen’in bir Golden Globe/Altın Küre ödülü ve Oscar adaylığı bulunmakta. Bu filmin de senaristlerinden biri.
Genelde bir komedi filmi izlerken çok büyük beklenti içerisinde olmuyorum. Bazen sadece gülmek için izlediğim de oluyor; ancak Diktatör beklentileri karşılayacak cinsten.
Ne var ki, bazı sahnelerde bayağı ileri gidilmiş, esprilerin düzeyi biraz yetişkinlere göre o yüzden.
Filmde usta oyuncu Ben Kingsley’i görmek de beni şaşırttı. Bakışlarıyla küçük bir rolü olsa dahi bizi etkilemeyi başarıyor.
En sevdiğim sahnelerden biri ise Aladeen ile Nadal’ın “Helicopter Ride” yapmalarıydı. İnanılmayacak derecede çok güldüm. :D
Eğlenceli vakit geçirmeniz için önerebileceğim filmlerdendir. Yapımın başyapıt olma konusu tartışılır; ama komedi konusunda başarılı olacağını söyleyebilirim.

I finally had a chance to see the movie “The Dictator” which i was waiting for a long time! I mean, i needed to relax and laugh, so i thought i have to see Sacha Baron Cohen’s newest feature film.
Anyway… Let’s get back to the movie! Aladeen, the dictator of the Wadiya, doesn’t want to get democracy to his land. But, somehow, he is kidnapped in the USA, when he makes a speech, there. And the worst of all his “magnificent” beard is cut! After all of that, his adventure in America starts… Nobody recognizes the Supreme Leader here. (without the beard) He has to find a new beard and don’t let democracy come to Wadiya. In this journey, he’s with his “friend” –who he wanted to get executed- Nadal and the activist girl that he met there, Zoey.
We have seen Sacha Baron Cohen who is famous for the characters Borat and Bruno in Hugo this year. Also, he owns the voice of Julien from Madagascar. The Golden-Globe owner Cohen is one of the writers of this film.

I don’t actually expect so much from comedies, sometimes i just watch them to laugh and get in a good mood. But i should admit that The Dictator isn’t such a cheap-comedy film. You can “expect”. :D
But i can’t suggest some scenes for kids, they’re intense and maybe they won’t understand the details so it’s for adults.
I became so glad when i’ve seen Ben Kingsley in the film. His even so impressing when he has a small-part in a movie. I mean, he mesmerizes you with his sight and light in his eyes.
One of my favorite scenes from the movie is the “Helicopter Ride.” Rofl!
